My Hair Helpers Cocomint Lice Oil Treatment is the lighter alternative to our thicker dimethicone oil for lice removal.
Made of coconut oil and peppermint essential oil, Cocomint effectively removes pests and their eggs from your child’s hair. This natural lice treatment’s mint scent repels lice, as they hate the smell and do everything to avoid it.
Lice have become resistant to many over the counter lice treatments. But all of My Hair Helpers products are effective on hard to treat super lice and nits.
How to Use Cocomint Lice Treatment Oil:
- Massage Cocomint onto dry scalp and saturate. This process will suffocate the lice bugs. Use oil generously on the entire scalp.
- Spray Mint Detangler (sold separately) on the ends of hair to soften. Next use a wide tooth detangler comb on the hair and comb out tangles.
- Apply Mint Foam Mousse (sold separately) on each section before using the lice comb. This will loosen the glue of the eggs to help removal with the comb.
- Section the hair from ear to ear. Clip up the strands in sections. Next use the Eliminator Lice Comb (sold separately) in each section of the hair in all 4 directions; up, down, left and right. With each combing movement you will want to wipe the comb on a white paper towel to see the status of the removal. This process will drag out the nits and lice. The comb must touch the scalp during the combing process. Comb each and every section of the hair. Comb hair until the paper towel swipes become completely clear of any nits or lice.
- Apply more product as hair dries out. Sleep in oil overnight.
- Use Mint Shampoo & Conditioner (sold separately) in the morning to remove lice removal products from your child’s hair, as well as the lice eggs and lice. Although Cocomint is a thinner oil than our dimethicone, you may still have to wash your child’s hair several times in order for all oil to be removed from hair.
- Repeat all steps 5 to 6 days later to ensure that you have gotten all of the lice and nits.
